It has been such a busy time over the past few months. Business is booming and I have been lucky enough to see so many of my existing clients for the second and even third time for photographs. Two lots of clients got married and I photographed their weddings and one of those couples had another baby, Saskia, and we took gorgeous photographs of her just last week.

I have bought lot of new lights and light modifiers so I can add some really nice special effects for those who might want something a little more artistic. Just ask me if you are interested. Ahh, good lighting, It makes all the difference!

I also won an award..1st Place!! "Where did you breastfeed today?" A competition run by the Australian Breastfeeding Association. This was the first (and only) competition I have entered, so I was quite chuffed! This is the winning image.

Enjoy looking at the images on this page and reading about the people and their "shoots". Each one was fun and unique and I look forward to doing them all over again in the future.

For all my clients out there, thank you for the opportunity to photograph you and you families. I have the best job!

See you soon

Lisa

The wedding of Kellie & Luke

I had no idea which images to show you from this wedding , they were all so beautiful. I just chose the first 6 I found! The Image movie was 2 discs and an hour long! It was such a lovely wedding, I was moved to tears whilst taking the photographs in the church. Kellie & Luke were so obviously in love and the images show this over and over again. After being together for 10 years they finally decided to tie the knot. Congratulations guys, I just loved every minute of this event and it was my pleasure to capture it for you. It was also my first wedding with my wonderful assistant Jodi who was always right up there with me for every shot - well done champ!

Beach Bodies

Danielle was spurred into action by her sister, Rachelle, who had me take some images of her family a few weeks before. She loved them so much she talked her sister into having the same package. The kids had a ball and the wonderful, fun relationship between mum, dad and kids was very evident in the final images. Another lovely family with delightful children, Kaeden and Tamia. The location was South Cronulla Beach at dusk on a weekend.

Nerida, Anthony & Sophia

Nerida and Anthony gave birth to their first baby, Sophia Ann, on 8th July, 2008. They are a very 'outdoors-ey' couple and so we decided to take photos of Nerida on the beach at Cronulla. Very brave for mid winter! She looked beautiful and her partner Anthony joined in the fun and also took a few photos of his own of me in action with Nerida. A lot of fun had by all.

Sally & Lara

Pregnancy shoots are so rewarding. I get to work with the mother-to-be and capture her at a beautiful time in her life, photograph any siblings with mum's 'bump' and then see (and hopefully photograph) the newborn baby when he or she arrives. This shoot with Sally took 6 hours! (we had 2 shoots in one, pregnancy shoots usually onlylast about an hour). A huge day for me, not to mention poor Sally. Anyway, Sally is a very artistic individual and very specific in what she wants from a shoot, so we spent a lot of time setting up the shots in her amazing home in Caringbah. The architecture of her home lended itself to fabulous geometric shapes and contrasting light. We had a lot of fun and managed to get a few shots of Lara for her 3rd birthday too.

By the way, Sally had a very successful home water birth on 30th July, 2008. Watch this space for photographs of their brand new baby girl, Erin Ashling.

Australia's Biggest Morning Tea Ever

I was asked by a good friend of mine, Kath Hayward, to volunteer my time at this event she was hosting to help raise money for Cancer Research. About 15 ladies with their gorgeous children attended, and from what I have been told, Kath managed to raise around $650 for Cancer Research. A tough day; we started set up 8.30am and finally left at about 5pm. All worth it, of course. I set up a portable studio in the home that was used to host the event and photographed each family one by one. We had all ages of children and they were so well behaved and willing to participate, I was very lucky. I had a little assistant on the day, Sophia, who worked tirelessly...especially as she still hasn't hit her 3rd birthday! What a cherub. Here are a few images from the day (that's Sophia in the first mage with the red skirt).

Cate, Alex & Robert

In December 2006, I was approached by Alex to take photographs of her and her completely gorgeous daughter Cate for her husband's (Robert) Christmas present. We got together and produced images that still remain some of my favorite taken to date. You will see that Cate features in the main gallery for Children & Babies. I recently had the honour of photographing my now good friends, Cate, Alex & Robert again and wanted to show you what Cate looks like today. This is a very special family and I owe Alex a great deal of gratitude for her ongoing support and unwavering confidence in my ability. Her recommendations have found me much new and diverse business, which has undoubtedly contributed to the overall success of Lisa Diamond Photography. Pink Ted is a favorite of Cate's. At the time this image was taken Cate was tiring of the shoot and decided it was time to tuck Pink Ted up with a blanket on a stray cusion. I think she looks particulary pleased with herself, don't you?

Cate has a way of looking cheeky and angelic all at the same time!

This is my favorite image from the shoot as it shows Cate's fun nature and the love within the family.

Little Kate

I can not believe the beautiful babies I come in to contact with and photograph. I have the best job! Look at this beautiful child. Kate was a dream subject, although Kate's mum, Kristen, was a little disappointed that she wasn't her usual smiling self on the day. Well, she may not have been full of smiles but she produced some spectacular images as you can see. What about those eyes? This was one of the easiest shoots I have done and again, I met some very special people. The images from this shoot were given to Kate's daddy, James, as a birthday present and I believe that he was quite chuffed with them too!

Tara, Clay & Baby Darcy

I photographed Tara, Clay and their mummy, Mandy, some time ago when I was just starting out. In fact, they were members of a mother's group with which I did my very first shoot. I can tell you I have clicked that shutter a few more times since then! Anyway, Little Darcy has since graced us with her arrival and to mark the occasion (albeit, a little time after the event) Mandy wanted more family photos. I went to their home, set up the portable studio and we did our best to get the shots. Unfortunately, all concerned had been up since 4am and were feeling a little worse for wear. I actually LOVE some of the images we got from the shoot that day but they were all a little serious. So we decided to do a second shoot to capture those candid playful moments which can not be replicated in the studio. You can see for yourself the two days of shooting. Which do you prefer? This gives you a good idea of how the two styles compare. Totally different but each with its own 'look'. These children are full of life and mischief, and a pleasure to spend time with.

Leanne, Rod, Tom and Benjamin

I just love these images but I have to make a confession...I cheated. I mean, look at my simply gorgeous model how could they not be fabulous! Leanne is so photogenic and she has an inner beauty to match the outer. Oh, if only we could all look so amazing when we are pregnant. Leanne and Rod's pregnancy with Benjamin was their second, their first being with Tom, who is a remarkable little boy with a perfect, beautiful nature. I also got the opportunity to photograph the family just after Benjamin was born and captured some very special moments. Take a look for yourself.

These are some of the images from the Newborn Shoot after Benajmin was born.

Fiona, Dave & Jack

You may think I am bias but although this little man is my nephew, I think he is one of the most alert 2 week olds I have ever met. it is unusual to get eye contact with one so young but Jack worked it for the camera all the way through the shoot. He was quite unique...and cute as a button! I look forward to many years of photographing our new little Jack. Introducing Jack...

If you look carefully at this image you will notice that Jack did what most baby boys do when you remove their nappies. A little photoshopping fixed it up in a jiffy but I left this one in as a keep sake.
